PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES

Conventional internal combustion engines only harness around 30 percent of the potential energy of fuel. So, Mazda engineered smarter engines that offers plenty of torque while using little fuel. Mazda CX-5 represents breakthrough performance with efficiency with both the petrol & diesel engines. The SKYACTIV-G petrol engine delivers powerful torque at low to mid-range speeds, linear acceleration response and an exhilaratingly powerful feel. The SKYACTIV-D clean diesel engine offers one of the most efficient and powerful choices available, the lowest compression ratio among diesel engines, contributing to lower CO2 and NOx.

SAFETY THAT'S READY FOR THE UNEXPECTED

A priority of every Mazda is to maximise the safety of every passenger on board. Mazda’s i-Activsense safety technology is constantly evolving to help protect drivers, passengers and pedestrians in the event of an accident; and when possible, to avoid them entirely. With features like Smart Brake Support (SBS), Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC), and the latest inclusion of Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) and more, it is all part of our goal to create safer cars and more conﬁdent drivers.

AFS

ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)

These headlights are speciﬁcally designed to help you see around corners at night. As you turn into a corner, the headlights pivot up to 15 degrees in the direction of your turn, improving visibility and allowing you to spot potential hazards and dangers ahead.

HBC

High Beam Control (HBC)

HBC helps the driver see better at night by maximizing opportunities to use the high beams.

BSM-RCTA

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

BSM alert drivers of the presence of vehicles approaching from behind and in the adjacent lane on either side by displaying an icon in the appropriate door mirror. RCTA alerts the driver when it detects vehicles approaching from either side during reversing operations.

LDWS

Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)

LDWS automatically senses lane markings on the road and alerts the driver when it predicts the vehicle is going to unintentionally depart from its lane.

LAS

Lane-Keep Assist System (LAS)

LAS adds to the Lane Departure Warning System by performing minor steering corrections to re-center the vehicle in its lane upon sensing an unintentional lane departure.

DAA

Driver Attention Alert (DAA)

DAA reduce accidents caused by inattentiveness due to driver fatigue. The system comes into play at speeds above 65 km/h and begins to “learn” the driver’s habits, watching inputs and the vehicle’s movements in the early stages before fatigue becomes a factor.

SCBS

Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) Front & Rear

At forward speeds of 4-80km/h (and reverse speeds of 2-8km/h), SCBS monitors the vehicle in front or the rear to assess the likelihood of a collision. If a high risk is detected, it issues visible and audio warnings and primes the brakes for a faster response. If the driver doesn’t brake, SCBS brakes automatically.

SBS

Smart Brake Support (SBS) Front & Rear

SBS aims to help the driver avoid or reduce the severity of frontal collisions (between 15 - 145 km/h), by automatically applying the brakes if there is a danger of collision.

MRCC

Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)

MRCC maintains a set speed and minimum following distance from the car in front. If the car you are following reduces speed, your vehicle will automatically slow down as needed.

CTS

Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS)

CTS assists to maintain a constant distance between your vehicle and a vehicle ahead at a preset vehicle speed without you having to use the accelerator or brake pedal. It also assists the driver to keep steer the vehicle within the lane lines.

The new Mazda CX-5 captures the eye and the imagination with a sleek new front end design that features a signature wing extending outward from the 3D textured grille. Styled with Kodo Design principles, character lines have been minimised in favour of surfaces that catch the light.
